Why we do this – lessons learned from a parent and an educator;
I learned from being an owner of an education franchise in 2005 that there really is a box – the rules, the red tape, the homework and how parents are expected to become experts in education on top of their jobs and more. Watching this was the driving factor behind me creating KnILE Center in 2008 to begin building an educational resource center; something more than just a private school and after school tutoring program.
KnILE Center is designed as a place where anxious parents can express their concerns, questions or confusion about why their student is not learning or perhaps that the student is feeling some level of anxiety them self. Our promise to our parents is that we will do our absolute best to introduce them to the best available resource for their student, which may or may not be offered within KnILE Center. The focus always has been and always will be on the students’ needs first.
After 30 years’ in education, my biggest pride has been watching student after student fill with confidence and accomplishment when we are able to find their unique learning style and talent – every student can thrive in the right learning environment. It also comes in watching these once concerned and anxious family able to have their confident and happy child back.
We see this kind of success because we test, we target, and we tailor an educational solution so they can focus on their lives.
KnILE is about YOUR child’s learning style, success, talents and KnILE is all about finding the best in every student. We teach and guide them beyond academics and help them become the best individual that they can be.

KnILE ECN (EduCoachNow)
EduCoachNow is the opposite of franchise tutoring.
We are a bridge to public education. We reteach and identify needs AND strengths. If needed, we can even show up at your school team meetings with sample work and suggestions. We don’t expect parents to become experts.
ECN is a one-on-one customized educational enrichment program for grades kinder to high school which combines cognitive, academic skill and mindfulness training to arm students with the best tools necessary for success in school. Our goal is to build confidence in each student so that they can succeed in their academic careers.
Our Reach Program goes far beyond homework and academic intervention. We know what it takes for a student with learning differences to academically, but we also can be the solution by reaching beyond the basics. We do also invest in offering programs to help with social skills, interviews, public speaking (through drama productions and other programs in the future) and more.
We offer three different services in this program to help address and work on the students specific needs.
We offer the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement. This assessment provides a comprehensive look at a student’s academic skills in;
- Oral & Written language
The assessment serves as a way to monitor progress, responses to interventions in the classroom, identify learning disabilities and adjust instruction based on a student’s performance. The test uses more appealing tasks for students who show low testing motivation.
Once a student has been assessed, the family will receive a comprehensive report including referral reasons, previous interventions, the assessment report as well as suggested interventions.
Individual hour long one-on-one sessions tailor made for each student – the net result is a student who can attack and process any subject much more effectively than if he or she had attended a traditional tutor.
Some of the skills your child will learn in this program can include:
- Mindfulness / Life Skills sessions – Therapist designed group sessions (up to 5 students per group) to teach essential life skills.
- Effective reading and comprehension skills
- Increased Cognitive Skills
- Organizational skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Strategic study and testing skills
- Problem solving skills
- Goal setting techniques
