    Jane Sullivan

“Every child can learn; just not on the same day or in the same way.” George Evans

Let the learning begin! My name is Jane Sullivan, and I am a 3rd generation educator and Aggie who is thrilled to be the Primary lead at KnILE this year. I am excited to use my 20+ years of educational experience to develop the Primary program at KnILE.  Thank you, Betsy, for entrusting me with this honor. As I enter my 5th year at KnILE, I can’t imagine myself teaching anywhere else!

I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University (1989) with a degree in elementary education. I have taught in all types of schools – public, private, and home. My husband, Archie, and I have two children. Beth (24) is a FBISD special education teacher, and Adam (21) is a physics major at Stephen F. Austin University.  I often collaborate with Beth regarding teaching strategies and enlist the help of Archie and Adam around the school. When I’m not teaching, I like to read, crochet, watch detective shows, and spend time with my family and pets.

Although I enjoy working with students at all levels, my greatest fulfillment comes from reaching students at the beginning. I believe every student can learn if they are given the right building blocks for success. Together, we can construct a firm foundation and inspire life-long learning in a safe, creative environment!
