- High School Lead Teacher
“Love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy effort and keep on learning.” -Carol Dweck
My name is Jessica Forray and I am the Lead High School Teacher at KnILE. I earned a Bachelor ‘s Degree in Education from the University of Houston. I am a certified teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience.
Born and raised in Houston, I live in Richmond with my husband, Chris, and three boys, Jacob, Noah and Caleb. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a mom to a child with learning disabilities and other challenges, so I am very in tune with the KnILE student population.
I came to KnILE seeking the right fit for my son, Noah, and fell in love with the school. I originally signed on as the PE and Nutrition Teacher but jumped at the chance to become the Lead High School Teacher when the position became available, as I found teaching high school was my second calling.
I am dedicated to help the students feel successful and become an active and accountable participant in their education. I am extremely passionate about engaging and empowering high school students and preparing them for the real world.
My focus is on setting them up for success and opening as many doors as possible for their future. I encourage and challenge them to grow their mindset to unlock their potential. In addition to being a teacher, I am a certified personal trainer and nutritionist. I enjoy yoga, reading and going to concerts.
