“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.”

    Robert Lewis Stevenson

I am Judy Reid and the Middle School lead teacher. I graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas with a Bachelor of Education degree. All of graduate work is in exceptional education. After graduating, I spent 11 years  teaching 5th grade in a public school in Kansas City. Moving to Fort Bend County brought huge changes and the start of my family. Due to dyslexia in my two sons, I would homeschool my three children for 7 years. When my youngest son began 8th grade, I began teaching again and have consistently taught the past 16 years in private schools.

My Texas Teaching Certificate is for grades 4 through 8. Since 2007, I have taught primarily in middle school grades with an emphasis in math and language arts. It seems all my teaching experience has led me to Knile. Having dyslexic sons gave me the knowledge and sensitive heart to work with students with learning differences. I love children of all ages, but definitely feel called to the middle school student. We are making a profound difference in our student’s lives; consequently, Knile is a perfect place to put that knowledge and compassion to work

My faith is ever present in who I am and gives me the desire to love unselfishly. I enjoy spending time with my husband, three adult children, and four young grandchildren. Hobbies are scrapbooking, sewing, crochet, gardening, reading and movies.
