- Middle School Lead Teacher
Judy graduated with a Bachelor’s of Education degree from Washburn University. She taught in Kansas City, Kansas primarily 5th grade for 11 years after college.
All of her graduate hours are in exceptional education. Moving to Houston brought about huge changes and the start of her family. During these years, she homeschooled her three children for 7 years, primarily due to the dyslexia of her two sons. When her youngest son began 8 th grade at a private school, she went back to teaching 5 th and 6 th grade.
She has a Texas Teaching Certificate for grades 4 through 8. She would then teach 10 more years in private schools primarily in middle school grades with emphasis in math and language arts.
After taking a two year break with one home bound student, she discovered Knile Prep Academy.
It seems that all her teaching experiences led her to this school. Having two dyslexic sons gave her the knowledge and sensitive heart to help students with learning differences.
She loves kids of all ages, but seems called to the middle school student.
Knile is the perfect place to put all that knowledge and compassion to work.
She is married and enjoys spending time with her husband and adult children. Her faith is quite important in her life and has made many wonderful friends in the 34 years in the Fort Bend area. Hobbies are scrapbooking, sewing, gardening, reading, and movies. Just beginning the wonderful season of grand parenting.
